Strategic Management Coordinator for Refugees, Prague City Hall

Geti Mubeenová works as a Refugee Strategic Management Coordinator. Her agenda consists of the coordination and management of systemic support for Ukrainian refugees in Prague. Geti Mubeenová chairs The Prague City Hall Work Group on Refugees from Ukraine. At the regional level, she represents the Prague's adaptation and integration agenda in negotiations with central government authorities.

Prior to joining the public administration, Geti Mubeenová was employed by a non-profit Organisation for Aid to Refugees (OPU) and coordinated humanitarian aid at Prague's Main Railway Station, and later co-managed operations at the refugee camp in Prague.

Geti Mubeenová previously worked at NGO Organisation for Aid to Refugees as a project coordinator. As a social worker, she travelled to residential and integration centres across the Czech Republic where she worked with applicants and holders of international protection.

Geti Mubeenová graduated from Global Migration and Development Studies at the Faculty of Science at Charles University. Her thesis focused on the political event of the Partition of India and Pakistan and its consequences on cross-border divided families. In her Ph.D. studies, she focuses on topics connecting political geography, migration, and nationalism.
