Mares

Iulian Mareș is the City Manager of Fierbinți-Targ Municipality and coordinator of West Ialomita Functional Area, also being the president of Balkan Development Support NGO. He has 20 years of professional activity in the public and private sector, respectively in the fields of international relations, banking, journalism and civil society. He is a graduate of the University of Bucharest, with a BA degree in Sociology and a MA in Political Sciences and Community Law, also with a focus on the management of organizations, innovation and the political-administrative systems of the European Union and the United States of America. He is a member of the Association of Public Administrators from Romania - AAPRO and of the International City and County Management Association – ICMA, professional affiliations which provided him the opportunity to successfully complete the ICMA University of Georgia Fundamentals of Local Government Program in the summer of 2022.
