Simone Lammert is the political representative of the City Solingen for the Eurotowns network and City Councillor of Solingen, a medium-sized city in Germany located in the metropolitan region of Düsseldorf. She became a City Councillor in 2020 at the age of 28 after having already worked in different positions on several local committees for almost ten years. She is the deputy leader of her parliamentary party as well as spokesperson of youth policy. With Solingen being one of the first German cities which adopted a sustainability strategy, the challenges of implementing the European Green Deal are one of the main tasks in her council work.
