Fabrizio Barbiero is the Head of the Innovation and EU Funds Office of the City of Torino. In the last 20 years, he has been leading local programmes and international projects in the fields of social innovation, urban regeneration and local development, support to SMEs development and youth entrepreneurship, organisational innovation. He played a leading role in the design of the Torino Social Innovation ecosystem. Among the most relevant projects that he has been coordinating recently are the SEED – Social Innovation Ecosystem Development (EaSI) for the establishment of National Competence Centres for Social Innovation, the TONITE – Community Based Urban Security (UIA), a project on urban inclusion to improve quality of life and safety perception at night, and the Innovato-R – Everyone’s an innovator (URBACT III) for the development of innovative projects to improve the public administration.
