Ben Caspar is managing urban biodiversity policy in the European Commission. Having studied biology, he joined the commission in 2002 and has since worked on marine conservation, adaptation to climate change, sustainable food policy and more recently urban environment policy. He is now part of the team implementing the Biodiversity Strategy for 2030, including the Nature Restoration Law.
