Carlotta Fioretti is scientific officer at the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission in Seville, Spain, where she leads a project aimed at providing knowledge base and methodological support on the urban and territorial dimension of EU cohesion policy.
Previously, she conducted research and teaching activities for University of Roma Tre, Sciences Po and Cornell University.
Her research interests concern urban regeneration, migration and the city, sustainable urban development, territorial and local development.
She is co-author of the ´Handbook of Sustainable Urban Development Strategies´ (2020), the report ´A place-based approach to migrant integration´ (2021), the book ´Culture and Policy-Making´ (2021) and the ´Handbook of Territorial and local development strategies´ (2022).
